Lunch & Learn

Youth Ministry wants to collaborate! Do you have a craft, skill, or life practice that you would be willing to share with teens? Youth Ministry is looking for adult volunteers to join us once a month for Lunch & Learn, an opportunity for intergenerational connection in the parish. We are particularly interested in the skills listed below, but are open to other ideas! The first date we are looking to fill is February 27th.

  • Money Basics
    • Entry-level understanding of bank accounts, check writing, saving, and budgeting.
  • Food Prep
    • Standard skills with kitchen utensils and equipment alongside basic food prep like how to cook an egg or boil water.
  • Personal care & first aid
    • How to take care of oneself and when should you go to a doctor? Care for minor cuts and pains (such as RICE for a swollen ankle).
  • Navigation
    • Reading a map, understanding directions, navigating public transportation, etc.
  • Automobile Care
    • Changing a tire, checking oil levels, knowing the basic information on a car dashboard.
Arts & crafts
