Perhaps you know almost nothing about the Episcopal Church, except maybe that’s the royal wedding preacher’s church. Or something to the effect of being wish- washy or Catholic-lite (we are not, but the phrase keeps on going). The Episcopal Church is a part of the Anglican Communion, and wholly Trinitarian. In this beautiful conversation we focus on four important responses.
- We are rooted in the Creeds (Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian), the ancient statements of faith that we pray through and wonder with daily.
- The Holy Trinity is a story of a name, of God’s name, and it is how we both know and address God.
- The practices of outlined prayer and bodily intention shape what we know and trust, and how we interact with the world.
- This tradition has boundedness, but it is a space within which to experiment and evolve.
