Life Center: June 12, 2024

On Wednesday, June 12th, it is once again our turn to provide a meal for the 40 residents at the Life Center Shelter. We need 2 volunteers to prepare the main meal, and several others to donate other needed supplies. Please contact Carole McManus at [email protected] or text 610-509-6614 to let her know what you are able to donate and arrange dropping off donations.
If you are dropping off at church, please label “Life Center” and place bread and dessert in the labeled plastic container by the green doors – as a precaution against unwanted snackers. Water and paper products can be left downstairs by the door as well. Meals and fresh fruit can be left in the kitchen fridge.
- 2 volunteers for the main meal – 20 servings each volunteer.
- 2 – 24 packs of Spring water
- 40 clementines, or 40 – 4 oz. applesauces, peaches, or fruit cocktails.
- 2 batches of brownies (20 each batch) or 40 packs of cookies, or any dessert.
- 40 dinner sized rolls or club rolls
- 2 volunteers to donate 4 bags of salad each, no dressing on the salad.
- 2-16 oz. bottles of salad dressing or 1 large 32 oz. bottle.
- 50 or more dinner sized paper plates.
- 50 or more plastic forks and spoons
- Dinner-size napkins.
A special request had been sent out from Life Center for these additional items as well in order to stock up for the summer and their lunches:
Milk, coffee, creamer, sugar, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, napkins, bottled water, salt & pepper shakers, beef hot dogs, hot dog rolls, beef bologna, sandwich bread, cheese, canned tuna, and canned fish. These items will also be collected on June 12th!
