Fall Formation 2022
September 11, 2022 @ 10:00 am
Fall Formation takes place between the two Sunday Holy Eucharist services throughout the fall season from 9:15am- 10am. Every child, youth, and adult is invited: we expect that you will find unexpected treasures. Parents with babies are welcomed: it is never too soon to start sharing the sacred story and we invite you to find what fits best for you in either the Children or Adult formation spaces.
Children
No-tech Christian education and formation using the Godly Play method with all ages. Godly Play is a Montessori-based method of invitation into the sacred epics and liturgical practices of Christianness. Children will gather in the newly renovated Billy Whaley rooms downstairs.
We encourage Caregivers of children under age 10 to stay on the property.
Youth
Youth will begin their time listening to the Godly Play story downstairs in the Bill Whaley Rooms along with Children’s formation. After the story, youth will separate to the Youth Room upstairs for deeper conversation on the sacred epics. Our time will include space to share and check in on one another.
Adult
Rite Questions is for the curious, the long term participant, or new in the last few years communicant, who would like to become formally a part of the Episcopal Church. This series is for both, those deeply consider becoming ‘officially’ Episcopalian and those who think this is interesting and desire to learn more. Shaped to meet the requirements of preparation for mature persons, your time participating could conclude in a rite of initiation to the Episcopal Church when Bishop Gutiérrez visits with CCRP this November 20. There are four potential rites for adults, learn more about them here. Rite Questions is about offering a general survey of information, sharing conversation, and finding our stories within the epic of this way of following Jesus.
