Outreach

For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you bear the name of Christ, will by no means lose his reward. Mark 9:41

Christ Church Ridley Park has a long history of reaching out to help those in need. Our partnership extends to the local community, county, and diocese at large! With generous hearts we continue these partnership commitments, hold collections/drives, and host seasonal giving opportunities supported by our parish and community.

The Outreach Committee is a vital part of our Church ministry and the need for assistance in the community is great. Please consider becoming a member of the Outreach committee or volunteering in service to our programs.

Food & Resources

We have a minimal onsite pantry with shelf-stable basics and provide financial assistance to other area pantries and meal services. If you are in need we suggest two local options UMC Ridley Park Food Bank for a large variety of fresh produce, meats, and foods, or Laoves and Fishes. If you would like to share donations we suggest contacting St. John’s Essington. If you are in need of assistance we would be glad to talk.

Seaman’s Institute

The Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania has supported the Institute for many years. Our parish provides sailors with meals, knitted hats, warm socks, gloves, and toiletries.

Life Center

The Life Center of Eastern Delaware County provides shelter and hot meals to guests in transition. Christ Church is dedicated to providing a meal and supplies once every other month to the residents. We are always looking for assistance to prepare hot meals or shop for items on the supply list.

Cradles to Crayons

Cradles to Crayons works to fight Children’s Clothing Insecurity in Greater Philadelphia and focuses on raising awareness about this urgent crisis nationally. They supply packages of basic essentials like clothing, shoes, diapers, and school supplies to children who don’t have access to these critical resources. Christ Church has a donation bin for collecting these items year round.
