Music

Small but mighty sums up the music ministry at Christ Church. Our choir is passionate about leading music at the 10 AM Eucharist.

The adult choir is led by four section leaders, SATB, so that no church member needs ever sing alone, unless, of course, they want to! The musicians are in tune with the flow of the service and seasons, and the music resonates with the mood in the room during worship. Even for congregation members who claim they “don’t sing”, the music offered in worship strikes a chord, both in congregational singing, listening, and choral/organ/instrumental offerings.

If you would like to contribute to the music offered in worship beyond singing in the pews, be in touch! We’d love to hear from you. We are small enough to be flexible and offer opportunities for participation as appropriate.

The Church Organ

“I am writing this on the day that our new organ has arrived at Christ Church and I just might not sleep tonight! I can report that it is a thing of great visual beauty and outstanding quality. At that time the organ’s tonal beauty will also become apparent to us all – may it continue to enhance our worship for many generations to come. I can say, having followed closely the design and fabrication of this instrument over the past 12 months and having worked closely with our talented organ builder Cornel Zimmer, that I believe that we are now the possessors of a superior organ which combines the best of traditional pipe organ manufacturing methods with the latest highest-quality digital electronics technology. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!”
