Winter Chess
Monday, November 21, 2022, 1:13 PM
Maybe you recall in those Wizarding World novels that there is life size chess? This December come be the chess pieces!! A careful game of strategy and silliness - this is open to all persons who are old enough to understand chess and who can get up into Mussleman Hall and stand for a while. It is an unusual way to have some smart fun this month. INVITE FRIENDS: we need 32 guests to make this work best. Invite chess fans or costume fans or game playing fans. Or even wizarding world fans. This is a hardly-churchy-at-all event.
- All Guests should wear a ‘costume’ (or at least a prop) that is either Chess themed (queen, bishop, pawn) or Winter themed (snowmen, December saints, a wrapped present, the Grinch…). Prizes for creativity - and alternatively, we will have some of our costume closet pieces available.
- Guests are encouraged to bring a brand new game or puzzle for children and teens that will go to Grands Stepping Up (a Delco resource for relatives who have taken in grandchildren or nieces/nephews).
