Children at the Table
Sunday, September 26, 2021, 2:00 PM
All baptized people, including children, are invited to meet Christ at his table in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. It is an awesome mystery that we can never fully explain and that perhaps children understand more than adults do. We also know that some families choose to wait until there can be direct instruction and the tradition of a ‘first communion’.
Children at the Table is a one-time, three-hour, interactive class for any child, 1st grade and up, to learn more about this holy mystery. We will gather in our largest and best-ventilated rooms, and outside if it is nice enough. Masks are required for all persons.
All children must attend this 'class' with a parent (or grandparent or guardian), and we expect that ‘first-time’ participants attend a Holy Eucharist service TWICE between now and the Children at the Table class (it will help with the learning process). The 8 am service is a good choice to avoid a crowd, however if in-person is still anxiety-producing for your household then check in with Rev’d Jane about options.
Thank you for registering for Children at the Table!
